Job Description:
As a Line Lead, you will play a key role in the on-site execution of assembly and installation tasks, directly supporting the Site Manager in delivering high-quality automation systems. You will be responsible for supervising a small team of technicians, coordinating daily tasks, monitoring safety and quality compliance, and reporting site progress to the Site Manager. This position requires hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, and pneumatic systems in an automotive or automation-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Line Lead, you will play a key role in the on-site execution of assembly and installation tasks, directly supporting the Site Manager in delivering high-quality automation systems. You will be responsible for supervising a small team of technicians, coordinating daily tasks, monitoring safety and quality compliance, and reporting site progress to the Site Manager. This position requires hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, and pneumatic systems in an automotive or automation-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a small team of installers or technicians to execute day-to-day activities on the assembly line
- Follow installation procedures for tools, fixtures, and pneumatic systems under the guidance of the Site Manager
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project timelines
- Perform and document daily safety and quality checks
- Provide hands-on support during installations, adjustments, and troubleshooting
- Communicate task assignments, updates, and concerns with the Site Manager
- Assist with inventory tracking and ensure required materials are available on-site
- Support shipment receipt, tracking, and proper handling of components
- Promote and uphold Safety Standards
- Foster a positive and proactive work environment within the line team
Qualifications:
- Technical diploma or associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Technology (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a mechanical or automation installation environment
- At least 1 year of experience in a team or line leadership role
- Must be open to travel
- Familiarity with automotive customer standards (BMW, MB, VW, Tesla) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead by example
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and ability to enforce them on-site
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification is an asset
