Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and experience in the precise assembly of complex equipment. This individual must demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical equipment and systems in accordance with 2D and 3D engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Utilize a range of hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment including lathes, grinders, drill presses, and manual Bridgeport mills
  • Measure, align, and secure components using precise measurement tools and calculations to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the workplace
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company standards
  • Interpret technical specifications and follow detailed instructions to ensure correct fabrication and assembly
  • Prepare materials for secondary processes including finishing, heat treatment, and deburring
  • Monitor and communicate job progress, identifying and addressing potential issues in collaboration with team members and leadership
  • Balance multiple priorities and deadlines with guidance from supervisors and project leads
  • Exhibit a positive, solutions-focused attitude with a commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Take initiative in problem-solving and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement



Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in mechanical assembly or a related field is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in assembly or fabrication
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Ability to read and interpret complex parts and assembly drawings with intermediate proficiency
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital documentation systems
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Physically capable of bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces as needed
  • Able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds safely and consistently
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
