Pipefitter – Industrial Automation

This position will focus on the installation, assembly, and troubleshooting of pneumatic and fluid systems used on automated manufacturing equipment.

Candidates should have strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience with AIR LOGIC systems, including the ability to read pneumatic schematics and properly install and route air lines and components.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble pneumatic / AIR LOGIC systems on automated machinery and tooling

• Read and interpret air logic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics

• Install and route pneumatic tubing, hoses, fittings, valves, regulators, manifolds, and related components

• Build and connect air circuits according to engineering drawings and prints

• Cut, bend, fit, and install tubing and piping

• Install cylinders, solenoid valves, flow controls, FRLs, and other pneumatic components

• Identify and troubleshoot air leaks, pressure issues, and pneumatic system problems

• Support machine build, integration, debugging, and commissioning activities

• Work closely with machine builders, electricians, engineers, and controls personnel

• Perform modifications and repairs during equipment installation and launch

• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow all customer safety requirements

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Industrial Pipefitter, Pneumatic Technician, Machine Builder, or similar role

• AIR LOGIC experience strongly required

• Strong understanding of pneumatic systems and components

• Ability to read pneumatic / air logic schematics and mechanical prints

• Experience installing tubing, fittings, valves, manifolds, cylinders, and regulators

• Ability to properly route, secure, and terminate pneumatic lines

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Experience working on industrial automation equipment, assembly systems, or automated manufacturing lines

• Ability to use standard hand and power tools

• Ability to work independently from prints and engineering drawings

Preferred Experience

• Automotive automation or assembly equipment

• Machine tool / special machine build experience

• Machine integration and installation

• Pneumatic system debugging and troubleshooting

• Experience with Festo, SMC, Parker, Ross, or similar pneumatic equipment
