| Location: Greenville, SC Shift: Days Job Summary Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Builder to assemble, wire, and troubleshoot industrial electrical control panels for custom automation equipment. This role works closely with engineering and machine build teams to support the construction of automated manufacturing systems used across a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing. The ideal candidate has strong electrical aptitude, can read schematics, and takes pride in building high-quality control systems. Responsibilities Build and wire industrial electrical control panels from electrical schematics, layout drawings, and bills of materials Install and terminate components including PLCs, relays, power supplies, breakers, sensors, drives, and terminal blocks Route and label wiring according to company and customer standards Perform point-to-point wiring and panel assembly for custom automation equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and assembly drawings Troubleshoot electrical systems and identify wiring or component issues Assist with machine wiring, equipment startup, and system testing Work closely with Controls Engineers and Machine Builders during assembly and debug phases Maintain organized documentation and ensure builds meet quality and safety standards Support continuous improvement efforts within the build and assembly process Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; technical training or electrical certification preferred 2+ years of panel building, industrial electrical, or automation assembly experience preferred Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience with industrial control components, PLC systems, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, wire crimpers, and electrical testing equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods Willingness to assist with machine installation or occasional travel if needed Preferred Skills Experience in factory automation or custom machine building Knowledge of UL508A, NEC, or industrial electrical standards Experience wiring pneumatic devices, robotics, or motion control systems Ability to troubleshoot automated equipment during startup and testing |
