Machine Tool Builder

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Machine Tool Builder to join our team in a fast-paced machine tool manufacturing environment. Working alongside a Skill Trades Leader, the ideal candidate brings hands-on experience and the ability to perform a wide range of tool-building activities with confidence and precision.

What You'll Do

• Read mechanical blueprints and bills of material to determine assembly processes
• Install floor plates, sealer equipment, camera stations, fencing, cable trays, framing systems, tooling, light screens, and gate keys
• Assemble units and drill, tap, and ream holes as required
• Use optical levels, hand saws, drill presses, and grinders
• Complete stenciling, tagging, checklists, and torque audits
• REQUIRED: Must have deburring and Machining Utilities experience

All candidates must arrive onsite with the following tools — tools will not be supplied:

• ½" & 3/8" air ratchet or battery powered impact
• Small ball peen hammer and small brass hammer
• 6", 10" & 12" crescent wrenches
• 12" combination square
• 2" polisher
• 3/8" air hand drill or battery powered drill
• 3/8" & ½" ratchets
• 6" calipers
• 8" torpedo level
• De-burring tool
• Drift punches / brass punch
• Metric allen wrenches and metric wrenches
• Metric tape measure
• Metric, 3/8" & ½" allen head sockets
• Scribe and 6" scale
• Tap handle and center punch
• Air grinder
• ½" torque wrench (certified in-house for use)
• Feeler gauges
